Gauntlet

Welcome loyal readers and sled-dogging enthusiasts. Emperor Creeronicus IV of the Popsicle dynasty has returned from his trip in the wine country, and is bearing tales of merrymaking.

Attention Subjects:

Due to recent disasters in dating, all women who have been preselected, or seek to date his highness must pass through an approval Gauntlet consisting of a 4-tiered American gladiator style joust match followed by games of atlasphere, powerball, and of course, The Eliminator.

Stage 1 (Joust) - Leah
Leah will play all applicants in rugby until they are thoroughly pummeled, bruised and beaten to the point that they will listen to really bad emo music (see: Nickelback, Good Charlotte, Evanescence).

Stage 2 (Joust) - Steph
The indomitable Steph will act as a screener to see if the said applicant's musical tastes do not suck royal amounts of balls. If the aforementioned condition is not satisfied, the contestant will be royally fisted.

Stage 3 (Atlasphere) - Whitney
In a true test of mettle, Whitney will challenge all comers in games of beer pong. Only if they do not puke on the carpet may the pass to the Eliminator. Remember, points from the first three rounds will be added to determine who has the head start in the eliminator, thus giving the worthiest contenders up to a 30 second head start.

Stage 4 (The Eliminator) - Mom
All applicants will have to have dinner with my mother, and be duly impressed like the first time that you saw someone breakdancing or heard a Justin Timberlake song.

No Stevie!

Couldn't go to see Steve Vai. This week's just too hectic. 3 exams and a project all demanding my immediate attention, plus homework and a party to plan. There's a new Copeland album out... it's not that good, though.

Cans

Do you ever stare at your bookshelf and wonder how you've come so far?
I do.

It's an ugly bookshelf. It's collapsible, but nothing extraordinary.
It's all technical material: Abstractions and Data Types in Java, MySQL and PHP,
Programming ASP.Net, Calculus, English grammar, semiconductor devices, physics for engineers, Learn C++ in 24 hours, Beginning Java 2, Java Servlet Programming, Just Enough Unix, Engineering Circuit Analysis, Computer Architecture, a Quantitative Approach, Elementary Linear Algebra, Engineering Electromagnetics, Computer Architecture: a Programmer's View, Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code.

Shocking how far I've come, how far we've all come.

I'm going to see Steve Vai (aweomse guitarist) on Tuesday let me know if you want to come along, as I've got two seats left. I'm also finally getting some new headphones, and I can't wait. I love my sennheiser's, but they don't have any bass, and the connectors are pieces of junk.

Best Day

Today was officially the best day ever. I gave blood, got to get a free burrito, and a free pint of ice cream, got credit for two donations, had a great batch of classes, great fun, great friends, great music, and now news of an All-Campus Idol competition.
