Grand Opening
Today was the grand opening of Intuit's new Santa Fe summit buildings here in San Diego. The CEO was here for the ribbon cutting, and the entire day was essentially an excuse for everyone to do nothing. That said, the new buildings have some pretty great features. Every full-time employee gets an office, and teams are located central to a meeting area. White boards can be found everywhere from floor to ceiling. There are also several 'water features' (what amount to glorified fountains), as well as a massive parking garage, basketball court, sand volleyball court, massive fitness center, impressive cafeteria, and an 'innovation room', which features video games, pool table ping pong, etc. Finally, they announced that both Peet's and Starbucks coffee would be available within campus, placating those who had a bias one way or the other.
